FERAL BODIES AT FERAL PROJECTS

 #TheNomadicWerewolfMuseum presents Cindy Rehm’s“Feral Bodies” at Feral Projects on the Full Wolf Moon on Friday, January 10th, 7-9 PM. This new zine is in conversation with Cindy’s recent performance “The Change,” a work that aligned the menopausal body with transformation narratives drawn from fairy tales and horror films. During the event, Rehm will share documentation of “The Change” and host a conversation with Holly M. Crawford, founder of the NWM about representations of the monstrous feminine. RSVP for address.

Our Myths Will Be Told by Us: A Mixed-Media Workshop

Explore and play with personal mythologies inspired by the exhibition Once Upon a Tapestry: Woven Tales of Helen and Dido at the Norton Simon Museum. Learn simple printmaking and collage techniques to create an original mixed-media artwork.

TEEN ARTS ACADEMY: MAKE A MINI-MUSEUM

SATURDAY, APRIL 9, 1:00 - 3:30 PM AND SUNDAY, APRIL 10, 1:00 - 3:30 PM

Join artist Holly Crawford for a collage/assemblage workshop that explores the ways in which artists and institutions collect and arrange objects and artworks. Gather inspiration from artworks by Marcel Duchamp, George Herms, Robert Rauschenberg and others in the exhibition Duchamp to Pop. Act as both artist and curator by collaging and assembling found materials and experimenting with placement of your artworks to then make your own mini-museum. 

Two two-day course is free, and space is limited to 18 participants. All materials are provided. Advance registration is required at nortonsimon.org/events.
